The Saint John Art Club Ltd has a long and vital history in the port city. The club was established initially as a branch of the Women's Art Association of Canada in 1896 and was later incorporated in 1912 by an Act of Parliament, inviting both men and women into membership. It is the oldest continuing art club in Canada and aims to advance the knowledge and love of art and education.
