Our week two winner is Trish Stokes, a Saint John local with a long list of reasons why she loves to explore uptown Saint John:

Trish shares:

I wanted to list some of the many reasons why I love uptown Saint John!

I love the atmosphere and how you do not need anywhere in particular to go. You can just head uptown and let the day or night turn into a fun time!

My husband and I just had our 9th wedding anniversary and we weren't sure what we wanted to do. We had a babysitter for a few hours and decided, let's go uptown!

One of the first places we went when we started dating was Harbour Passage, so we started with a walk along the passage and let it take us! Soon after, we ended uptown and roamed around looking at all the new things. We saw the gorgeous new Area 506 Container Village and grabbed some yummy candy for our walk.

It's the little things when you go walk around uptown, it just makes your heart happy. When we came home (to the west side), we felt great about our choice on where to go that evening for something special.

A few nights later, my husband and son went to one of the Memorial Cup games, and they had the most amazing time - they haven't stopped talking about it! It was my sons first ever outdoor concert and it was so nice that we hosted in our beautiful city for us to all enjoy!

I cannot wait to get back onto the boardwalk where we would always end up at Peppers for the outdoor patio to share some yummy wings and sweet potato fries!

From the Moonlight Bazaar to the Buskers on the Boardwalk, there are so many local things to explore! Great food and handmade items, there is always fun interesting things to see, taste, and enjoy!

My husband and I are counting down the days until we can go to the Area 506 Festival! We are especially excited for the Sunday night lineup with Arkells! We saw them at the festival in 2018 and that memory has been one of our best uptown experiences to date!

A group of us started the day at the Moosehead Small Batch Brewery for a few drinks, then headed uptown to Gahan House for dinner. After that, we went to the Area 506 concert and then to the Eighty Three Bar Arcade for games and more dancing on their fun patio! The whole uptown was alive and everyone was happy!

Great things are happening everyday uptown, and I cannot wait to explore them all!

Congratulations Trish! We hope your prize winnings give you even more reasons to Discover Saint John & the Towns By The Bay.
