Construction on the #2 Engine House began in 1840, to help Saint John meet the needs of a growing community. It survived the Great Fire of 1877, and today the Old #2 Engine House Museum serves as an exhibit space for an extensive collection of firefighting artifacts tracing the history of firefighting in Saint John. The museum also offers visitors a special exhibit on the Great Fire. Admission by donation.
Closed for the 2024 season.
